History of Aikido in ZAnzibar.

The Martial Arts & Aikido Training Center traces the introduction of Aikido in Zanzibar to Sensei Andreas Schriber (6th Dan Aikikai, Shidoin), co-founder of Aikido Ikeda Dojo in Zurich, Switzerland, working alongside Sensei Vadim Dormidontov, Sensei Abdalla Hussein, and students from Mwanakwerekwe Dojo. With the support of Aikido Ikeda Dojo Zurich, the founding partner of Aikido in Zanzibar and Kenya the discipline quickly grew in popularity among children, youth, and adults. Under Sensei Schriber’s guidance, a structured training system was established, including regular seminars and examinations. Aikido was officially registered and legally recognized in Zanzibar on 12 February 2018.
